A garden in full bloom in the midst of a pandemic.
This was the setting in which Chok and Kai became
husband and wife after months of adjusting and
re-adjusting plans that had already been 80% done
before the pandemic struck. Clusters of fresh flowers
in a variety of muted pastel shades added romance
and whimsy to elegant tablescapes. Blush details
as seen in images by Dan Rivera Photo were a sweet
contrast against the deeper tones of the surrounding
greens, becoming sweeter still well into the night
when the fairy lights came on and the stars came out.
“We started with the mood and tone,” says Kai on
how they conceptualized their French Romantic
themed wedding. “We wanted it to be authentic,
intimate, romantic, thoughtful and heartfelt
to reflect our values.”

Values deeply rooted in their faith.
“Firstly, it is not just a celebration of two people,
but of God and us,” Kai continues. “We committed
that day to God and prayed that on that occasion
more people would come to know the Lord.”
When putting their team of suppliers together,
the couple chose like-minded friends who were
close to their heart and entrusted them with
their vision for the big day. The result was a
magical affair that was clearly the fruit of months
of prayer and constant surrender to God’s will.
An often quoted Bible verse from the book of
Ecclesiastes goes, “He has made everything
beautiful in its time.” The journey to the altar
allowed Chok and Kai to experience the richness
of this verse firsthand. A confessed meticulous
planner, Kai reflects, “The best but most
difficult part was to let go and chill and let
God handle it on the day of the wedding.”
And what a beautiful day it was indeed.
