I consider Baguio my 2nd home. This is the
place where I met my 2nd family and learned
from them how to look at things differently.
So when I got the news that we will be shooting
in Baguio with the huns for their pre-
engagement photos, I got really excited and
took the assignment despite a really busy
January calendar.
Since the sked was so tight, we roll with no stylist,
no make-up artist, no hotel, just me with the
couple and a friend videographer all packed
in a car that we also used as a dressing room.
This was really a spontaneous one. I don’t
even had a clue what Kev and Nica would be
wearing, no idea exactly on where to shoot
them, although I know that John Hay never fails
and a place in Dominican was truly awesome.
Left Manila at 3am, arrived at Baguio by 6am and
slept for an hour in a gasoline station. After
eating breakfast, we didn’t stopped shooting
until sundown.
Tired, yes, but I had so much fun doing this shoot!
All of the ‘stress’ went away after seeing the smile on
the couples’ face when they reviewed the
set.
Will I do a guerrilla shoot again?
Definitely.
